Aluminum wheel exports remain high and overseas markets still need to be observed [SMM analysis]

According to customs data, China's aluminum wheel exports in March were 78,900 mt, up 20% month-on-month but down 3% year-on-year, remaining at a high level.
In terms of export destination countries, the top five export destinations for aluminum wheels in March were still the United States, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and Thailand. The export volumes to the above five countries accounted for 31%, 17%, 11%, 10% and 5% of the total exports. The export destination structure of aluminum wheels remained stable.
About 40%-50% of aluminum wheels are exported, and the export target countries are stable and concentrated. In recent years, the export volume to the top five export target countries accounted for 60%-80% of the total. Many industry players believe that the aluminum wheel export market is at risk of geopolitical factors. Although the export volume and export order volume of aluminum wheels are relatively optimistic compared with previous years, the future trend of the overseas market still needs further observation.
